Our Story

1980s - 1990s

Growing up in Canada, our founder, learned the lumber trade from his father’s 55-year business. From an early age, he was immersed in this world, often going to sleep with sawdust in his bed. His father taught him about dedication and hard work, instilling a strong, lasting work ethic.

2003

At age 21, he founded BB Millwork & Doors, combining the technical expertise he learned from his father with his love of design. BB was a one-man operation out of a 5,000-square-foot garage in Spotswood, NJ. handled every task himself, from crafting doors to off-loading trucks to delivering fill-ins and punch lists in his mini-van. Sometimes, he even slept in the truck to be at the job site on time!

2006

Fueled by exceptional service and craftsmanship, BB grew to a mid-sized company. In 2006, we expanded to a 12,000-square-foot warehouse in Clifton.

2011

BB kept growing! We moved to a 50,000 sq ft state-of-the-art production plant and inventory warehouse in Kenilworth.

2020 - Present

To increase our capacity, we added an inventory warehouse in East Brunswick. Now, our entire 50,000-square-foot space is dedicated to production. Our 55 employees fabricate and deliver approximately 3,000 doors a week!

Today, BB is a leading distributor for some of the Northeast’s largest regional contractors.
